  2. As I wrote here last year, one of the most important drawbacks of stsadm (beside of not being trendy any more), that you should have local administrator rights on the server where you run this commands, otherwise you receive an “Access denied. The reason, that for most of the stsadm operations, the following security check is performed in the entry method (public static int Main) of the Microsoft.

  3. A new release of MaheshaBSD that would replace TestDisk from version 1 to 1. New releases do not have much sense unless they have something special (or do something that other distros cannot). I tried DragonFly and enjoyed it very much. 1 (the number is just an example) does not have much sense. I think I would be happy with FreeBSD 4. 1 MFS and some scripts and will help users produce a new version of MaheshaBSD.  I will probably make a FreeBSD 8.

  6. I agree that this is one of the best FPS I’ve ever played. I’ve been playing some UT2k4 and I still go back to Q3 when I really want to have fun without endless frustration. Though Duke3d was super fun in MP. What I’m finding is that games that are supposed to be simple (Just kill the other guys) has become complicated, and in that process a lot of the fun of the game has been lost.

  8. So, we are recommending that the power button be used to power off the board or by issuing the Halt command. Our initial take was that it was a manufacturing issue on some boards, but we could never prove that. We have been noticing a very small number of boards that are experiencing power issues, where the LED flashes and the board does not power up. Based on the latest information we have gathered, this appears to be an instance where the PMIC does not power down the processor in the right order due to the violent removal of the power cables, either USB or DC. After that you can remove the power cable. If everyone follows this process, we should see a decrease in these issues, but it will take a while for the results, either good or bad, to show up. We have been chasing this for a while now and due to the small number of boards that have the issue and the fact that the issue can also be caused by having things connected to IO pins not powered correctly, it has been hard to nail down. This will also help prevent the contamination of the eMMC and the SD cards by allowing the kernel to shutdown properly before power is removed.
