The better the processor, the faster the VPN-encrypted information can get to you. Processing is the key to high performance routing, and this one has room to burn and grow as streaming video demands become increasingly more intensive. For VPN users, having a large processor is imperative to streamline the constant encryption and decryption the router will need perform in the process.

The Gateways feature also functions as a kill switch. This keeps you safe and helps prevent any IP address leaks.  In other words, if a specific Gateway drops (such as the VPN router’s connection to a VPN server), traffic will be blocked for all devices assigned to the VPN router.

You first have to import the opvn profile into the OpenVPN app on Android as you normally would from the settings menu. Let me know if I can help clarify further. Once you’ve got the profile imported, verify you can connect from within OpenVPN by tapping “connect”. @Martin, I should have clarified that a bit better. Then, in Tasker, {myOpenVpnProfileName} refers to the name (either default or customized when you imported the profile) of the profile in OpenVPN, no directory/location information needed.

The one in your link has only 400 Mhz CPU. Hi Richard, regarding your first question, you can just connect a second VPN router through one of the LAN ports on your existing (cable provider) router. Regarding the second question, these little router boxes are usually cheap, underpowered, and do not handle VPNs well.
